Some Duties and Responsibilities of Pharmacy Technician:
- Work with the PCN multi-disciplinary team to ensure efficient medicine optimisation, including implementing efficient ordering and return processes and reducing wastage.
- Undertake and participate in medication history taking and refer any discrepancies to the community pharmacist or GP as necessary.
- Counsel patients on their medication during admission and prior to discharge, providing
information on dosage, use and side effects in order to facilitate concordance and safe and effective
use of their medicine.
